LEGIONS
For the youth who inspire
Overflowing waste on public beaches. Families missing meals during Ramadhan. Schools that need shade, trees, and care.
The five projects on this site answer those exact conditions, one piece of visible work at a time.
Who We Are
Legions moves where the need is visible: patched up walls, cleared shorelines, trees in the ground, families with one less thing to worry about. No hierarchy. No waiting on permission. Just students, graduates, and young professionals putting their hands where the problem is.
Hands in. Overhead out.
We keep the structure light so the work stays honest. Every shilling goes straight to materials, food, tools, and supplies. Nothing sits in an account.
Direct labor
If a wall needs painting or a beach needs clearing, you'll find Legions members doing it themselves, not managing someone else who is.
No hierarchy
People lead by showing up, not by title. No gatekeepers, no approval chains, no waiting for a meeting.
Peer fundraising
Micro donations move through M-Pesa and Tigo Pesa in minutes, tracked in public, spent within days.
Proof of work
The Ramadhan Project
1,200+ fasting individuals reached through a citywide food drive with 100% of funds going to food procurement.
Big numbers. Direct action.

Ujasiri House Renovation
The renovation focused on paint, repairs, and comfort for children undergoing cancer treatment and their families.
Coastal Beach Cleanups
150+ volunteers mobilized across Coco Beach and Msasani to remove 1.5+ tons of waste.

AMSEN Special Needs Visits
40+ students engaged through visits where 100% of supplies were donated.
The visits focused on sensory play, shared time, and donated learning supplies for the center.
Bring hands, not status.
